Shorts Fest: Film Festival

Local filmmakers highlight May’s Revival House Slower Lower Shorts Festival The Revival House is excited to announce the return of the Revival House’s short-film festival at the Milton Theatre! This year marks the return of the largest gathering of local shorts in the area, with a mix of comedy, drama, suspense, and fun from the area’s most talented filmmakers. The film program will highlight local filmmakers’ short films, followed by a question-and-answer session with all the directors immediately following the screening. The Revival House, producer of the “Horror Trailer Challange” returns with a chance for a new crop of filmmakers to shine at the beautifully restored, historic Milton Theatre. Family and friends are invited to attend and vote for the “Audience Favorite”! “After a long absence due to the pandemic, we are excited to once again host this event for local filmmakers, as it is one of our signature events that promotes the works of all the talented filmmakers we have in the region,” said Rob Rector, one of Revival House founders. “As a filmmaker, having an opportunity to showcase your work in a place such as the Milton Theatre is such an honor,” added Revival House co-founder Rob Waters. “This is the largest showcase of local short films in the area, and we are happy to be able to help highlight local artists.” Eligibility There are no age restrictions for entrants and there is no cost to submit films for consideration. All interested filmmakers must complete a waiver and submit their films through the Revival House website at www.revivalhousetheater.com no later than May 7 at midnight to be eligible for consideration. Have Tea & Cookies with Your Favorite Princesses Join our Princesses and friends for an interactive Princess Tea Party that is great for all ages. Yes, we really will be serving tea! Dress up and join your favorite princesses for this interactive Princess Tea Party presented by Milton Theatre’s own, Triple Threat. Characters will sing, dance and tell stories all while engaging the entire audience. A meet and greet will allow participants to snap a photo with their favorite characters.Your kids will love the chance to have tea and cookies with their favorite characters at this show. Yes, we really will be serving tea! This interactive tea party includes cookies, tea (served hot or cold) and heavy fun served tableside. Featuring the kids from the Milton Theatre’s “Triple Threat” musical theatre program!
