Inspired by Elvis at the age of four, Jesse was always mesmerized by Elvis’ magnificent voice and intrigued by everything Elvis from his music to his movies.  Despite being teased by his peers, Jesse stayed true to his idol.  He got his first break to pay him tribute at the age of 17 in a high school talent show where he packed the house and won the popular vote. Club owners later discovered him and encouraged him to sing in larger venues. The rest is history.Since his first performance in 1997, Jesse has grown to serve nationwide venues performing to sold-out audiences.  He has been invited to perform for the US Embassy in Algiers and even caught the attention of legendary Elvis guitarist, James Burton, after a show in Louisiana. Audiences who have seen Elvis in concert and other Elvis tribute shows are amazed by Jesse’s portrayal.  Even those with personal ties to the Presleys are impressed by the likeness.  Jesse’s show has drawn national media attention including billboards, radio interviews, television promotions and feature articles.  In 2019, he was inducted into the International Elvis Tribute Artist Hall of Fame for his dedication to keeping Elvis’ legacy alive.

Keith Turner grew up playing piano in the golden age of R & B, Classic Rock,  and Motown,the 60’s & 70’s. He studied music at CCC while writing and performing originals and ELP  for his class which included the late Billy Paul. Keith was ecstatic when asked to play in Tarkus. Keith Emerson was one of my earliest influences shall we say “From the Beginning!  Mike is a well respected multi-instrumentalist out of the New Jersey/Philadelphia area. Coming from a musical family, Mike starting out drumming following in the footsteps of his older brother John. His father was an accomplished singer and front man, and Mike’s sister Karen plays piano. Music was always permeating throughout the household, including the music of Genesis, Yes, ELP, and The Beatles. Mike started guitar at age 11 and had formal lessons from jazz instructor Bill Johnson out of New Jersey.  John started drumming at age 13. His influences include John Bonham, Carl Palmer, Dave Weckl and Buddy Rich among many others. He studied with local instructors and played in school bands as a teenager. After years of playing in area clubs, he moved out west to attend The Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA where he graduated with honors. John toured the Vegas casino circuit and the world aboard cruise ships before returning to his native Delaware where he seeks challenging musical opportunities such as Tarkus.

The individual roster artists of Serafin Ensemble have been heralded around the globe for concerts and recordings, acclaimed in the press, and received international prizes and awards.  Hailed for “silken finesse and gritty vibrancy” by Gramophone Magazine and for “playing with style and sophistication” by The Strad Magazine, Serafin String Quartet debuted at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2004 and returned to Weill Recital Hall most recently in 2016 for a program that included New York premieres of two works by composer Julia Adolphe. Featured by Strings Magazine for innovation in concert programming, the Quartet consistently received superlatives in the press and ovations from audiences around the nation. Serafin Quartet served for nine years as Quartet in Residence at the University of Delaware and performed in the UK, as well as in fifteen states across the US, with their primary performance region being the mid-Atlantic and northeast. Serafin Ensemble takes its name from master violin maker, Sanctus Serafin, who in 1728 crafted the violin currently played by Serafin founder and Artistic Director, Kate Ransom. The Serafin String Quartet thrived for over two decades thanks, in part, to generous support from Dr. William J. Stegeman, Ph.D.

It was published by Simon & Schuster in September, 2020.Since forming a duo, they’ve been touring around the world with their innovative, classically inspired pop songs, and their undeniable charm and wit. In 2021-2022, they will launch a 60-city US tour called The Chasing Dreams Tour to promote their recently released debut album aptly named Chasing Dreams. That’s all he needed to hear! Being a drummer, it was completely outside the box to take on a tribute to one of the best front men and stage performers Rock & Roll had ever seen.
