About Kategory 5 Website | Facebook | YouTube Kategory 5 are a classic rock band covering the best of rock, blues, R&B and pop music from the 1970s (give or take a decade). With female and male lead vocals, keyboards and dual lead guitarists, killer bass and drums, Kategory 5 are able to perform the most challenging music from the classic rock era. Kategory 5 are a 6 pc rock group who play an amazing variety of classic and progressive rock and pop from the 70’s and 80’s as well as newly written original songs. Formed in 2014 as a 5 pc with Kat, John, Al, Kyle and Chris they quickly realized they needed another guitar player to fill out the complex array of cover songs being played and in 2015 Brian joined the band. Entering and winning the Houseband contest for WMGK 102.9FM Philadelphia in the summer of 2016 quickly catapulted them into the spotlight where they were featured in many of the radio station’s big events culminating in their appearance at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ opening for Joan Jett and Boston. That gig is what ultimately led them to writing and recording their own music. Another big opportunity came with opening for Taylor Dayne and Eddie Money in the summer of 2017 sponsored by Wilmington, DE radio station WJBR 99.5FM. In the early winter of 2017 they started writing songs to be recorded with a release date of November 2018 and this is where the Kategory 5 story is now, writing and recording for their CD release date of November this year. During this time Kategory 5 is performing live shows playing cover songs with original material sprinkled in as each new song comes to life. Their detailed musicianship and dynamic 3 and 4 part harmonies with both male and female lead vocals, layered guitars and keyboards, bring an exacting quality to every performance that you will want to hear again and again.

That wasn’t, of course, the name they chose to be called, but the one given by press and general public. The Rat Pack is mostly known for their movies and live performances in casinos all over US, but particularly in Las Vegas.Although they only brought out albums, or rather collections, of songs in the 2000s, some of which they sung as a group, earlier they only did music separately. Still people refer to it as Rat Pack music and songs, mostly because they were so popular, so that only Frank Sinatra had an image for himself outside the group. There are even thousands of Rat Pack impersonators all over the world, and they take it to a whole new level with all of their jokes and the modern adaptation of what they were doing in the ’60s.Some of the best songs that are known as Rat Pack music were made by Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. The songs ‘Everybody Loves Somebody’ by Dean Martin and ‘Strangers in the Night’ by Frank Sinatra are the most popular ones. UF is the longest-running U2 tribute band in the United States. After twenty years of playing in some of the most prestigious venues on the East Coast, UF has formed a reputation among many to be one of the closest experiences to being at an actual live U2 show. The members of UF are also very dedicated fans of U2, and will not settle for anything less than complete authenticity. In addition to performing a very impressive array of U2 material from pre-Boy to the most recent Songs of Innocence and beyond, the band does everything in their power (from wardrobe to lighting) to recreate the live U2 concert setting for their audiences.In 2015, UF was invited to perform at The Cutting Room in New York City for the 20th Anniversary Party for the U2 fan website “@U2.” Not planned was the sudden and surprise appearance of both The Edge and Adam Clayton, who showed up a little before 9:00 PM and played two songs with UF — much to the shock and delight of everyone in the club.One of UF’s last founding members from 1995, drummer George (Larry) Levesanos, still performs with the band. George is a veteran drummer on the New York City music scene and has performed in many other projects before forming UF. Joining the band in the summer of 2001 was singer Tony (Bono) Russo. Over the years, Tony has brought UF to a new level of authenticity as he is regarded as one of the country’s top Bono look-a-likes. In late 2002, bassist Craig (Adam) Kiell added his top notch musicianship, experience, and stage presence to the band and has been a crucial part of the solid rhythm section ever since. Late 2004 brought Mick (Edge) Normoyle to the band to complete the last piece of its puzzle in its quest to have the truest, most authentic live U2 sound. All four members of UF are talented musicians in their own right, but together they are committed to bring their audiences the best possible U2 show that they can deliver.
