Golden Broadway: Musical Theatre Ensemble Fall Showcase – FRIDAY
Step into the spotlight! This fall, we’re thrilled to present “Golden Broadway,” where young performers will explore the magic of Broadway’s Golden Age (1940-1959) and Post Golden-Era (1960-1969). Our talented students will sing, dance, and act to timeless classics such as “Oklahoma,” “Carousel,” “Annie Get Your Gun,” “South Pacific,” “My Fair Lady,” “West Side Story,” “The Sound of Music,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Hello Dolly!,” and many more! Join us for an unforgettable journey through Broadway’s most iconic musicals! About Musical Theatre Ensemble FEATURE VIDEOOur Musical Theatre Ensemble (MTE) classes will focus on each of the three main concentrations of musical theater; voice, dance, and acting. Great emphasis will be placed on recognizing the relevance of each discipline as it relates to musical theater and preparing students for auditions and musical theatre performances. Each class period will be devoted to- 1) vocal development, 2) improving acting skills, 3) learning choreography; all to help students develop musical theatre skills. The culmination of this course will result with students gaining a broader understanding of musical theater from their participation in a fun and exciting musical theatre performance experience that will increase their abilities and help them to become well rounded performers. About Triple Threat Ensemble Act, Sing & Dance! A key term in musical theatre training is learning to be a ‘triple threat performer’, which means the ability to act, sing and dance to a high standard. The Triple Threat classes at the Milton Theatre bring these three disciplines together into a unified whole. The emphasis in these classes is to strengthen each of the elements equally to create a well-rounded Triple Threat performer. Only 10 students are accepted into the program each session.To join the Milton Theatre’s Triple Threat Training Program, students must be dual-enrolled in Musical Theatre Ensemble for that session.

Enjoy the hard work of our summer camp students in the Lion King Jr! Kids 12 and under are free excluding Balcony. Everyone must have a ticket to enter the theatre. About Lion King Jr Disney’s The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world, and now you have the opportunity to produce this one-of-a-kind musical in your community. Bring the African savanna to life on your stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale. The Lion King JR. features classic songs from the Broadway musical and animated feature film, including “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “He Lives in You,” and “Hakuna Matata.” Young performers will also get the chance to learn a wide range of new theatrical skills—such as mask-making and puppetry—encouraging them to explore this beloved story with creativity and pride.
