MARK PHILLIPSMark Phillips learned to vanish a cigarette when he was only six years old. Thankfully, Kentucky in the ‘60’s had plenty of six year old smokers. Later, his performances at The Phoenix Playboy club paid for college and made a career in show business look more appealing than getting a real job. Moving to New York City, Mark became one of the Trade Show Industry’s leading magicians, traveling over a million air miles for Fortune 500 clients. Now in Washington DC, Mark has headlined on luxury cruise lines like Cunard and Crystal, performed at the National Theatre and Kennedy Center and, in 2014, co-founded The Magic Duel Comedy Show which now makes up the majority of his work. MEADOW PERRYMeadow Perry is a Magician, Bubble Artist and Actress who creates breathtakingly beautiful magic out of thin air. Meadow’s “Bubble Magic” combines skillful bubble artistry, magic, music and theatre to create a unique experience for her audience. Every Friday and Saturday night, in the basement of O’Flaherty’s Ale House on Manhattan’s Restaurant Row, Brad and a small group of piano players faced off on two Casio Celviano keyboards for a four-hour singalong with an audience that grew from 10 to far beyond legal capacity. The trio was started in 1995 by bassist Rob Swanson for the sole purpose of playing music from classic Christmas cartoons, especially the music of Vince Guaraldi, the composer of the “Peanuts” soundtracks. Since it’s inception, the trio has played hundreds of shows including live appearances on NBC, ABC, Fox, and NPR. The trio was also honored to perform in Philadelphia’s premiere music venue, The Kimmel Center. The music of Vince Guaraldi, in particular the soundtrack of the Peanuts Christmas Cartoon, has become one of the best selling Christmas recordings of all time. The trio performs every song from this recording, using the exact instrumentation that Guaraldi originally composed for. In addition to the Peanuts music, the trio plays songs from “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”, “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer”, “Frosty the Snowman”, and “The Little Drummer Boy”, just to name a few. After twenty years of playing in some of the most prestigious venues on the East Coast, UF has formed a reputation among many to be one of the closest experiences to being at an actual live U2 show. The members of UF are also very dedicated fans of U2, and will not settle for anything less than complete authenticity. In addition to performing a very impressive array of U2 material from pre-Boy to the most recent Songs of Innocence and beyond, the band does everything in their power (from wardrobe to lighting) to recreate the live U2 concert setting for their audiences.In 2015, UF was invited to perform at The Cutting Room in New York City for the 20th Anniversary Party for the U2 fan website “@U2.” Not planned was the sudden and surprise appearance of both The Edge and Adam Clayton, who showed up a little before 9:00 PM and played two songs with UF — much to the shock and delight of everyone in the club.One of UF’s last founding members from 1995, drummer George (Larry) Levesanos, still performs with the band. George is a veteran drummer on the New York City music scene and has performed in many other projects before forming UF. Joining the band in the summer of 2001 was singer Tony (Bono) Russo. Over the years, Tony has brought UF to a new level of authenticity as he is regarded as one of the country’s top Bono look-a-likes. In late 2002, bassist Craig (Adam) Kiell added his top notch musicianship, experience, and stage presence to the band and has been a crucial part of the solid rhythm section ever since. Late 2004 brought Mick (Edge) Normoyle to the band to complete the last piece of its puzzle in its quest to have the truest, most authentic live U2 sound. All four members of UF are talented musicians in their own right, but together they are committed to bring their audiences the best possible U2 show that they can deliver.
