10-week program running from January 5 – March 9, 2027 on Tuesday nights. Neon lights and big personalities! The Winter session dives deep into the colorful and eclectic sounds of the 1980s and 90s. This is the era of the music video and the stadium tour, and our students will learn how to bring that same level of electric energy to the theatre. With a focus on dynamic choreography and expressive storytelling, young performers will embrace the bold characters and unforgettable melodies that defined these two iconic decades. Matilda Jr. Camp Show 12pm
Enjoy the hard work of our summer camp students in the Matilda Jr! Kids 12 and under are free excluding Balcony. Everyone must have a ticket to enter the theatre. About Matilda Jr Rebellion is nigh in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the “revolting children” who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson. Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence… and special powers! She’s unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda’s school life isn’t completely smooth sailing, however – the school’s mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don’t abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils’ saving grace!
